It’s important to note that there are different rules and regulations when it comes to signing period and eligibility, so it’s best to check with the NCAA to ensure that athletes are following the correct procedures. However, athletes may also sign an NLI with a college after the National Signing Period has ended, although they may lose their eligibility to compete as a freshman. During this time, athletes are able to make their college decision official by signing their NLI. This period typically begins the first Wednesday in February and ends the first Wednesday in April. Colleges are able to sign athletes to binding National Letters of Intent (NLI) during the National Signing Period, which occurs in the fall of each year. ![]()
